A professional jouster for the last 10 years, Kevin has performed all over the country. Having jousted for the top two teams in the country, he has learned from the best.
Starting with the Hanlon-Lees in 1999, Kevin learned Theatre jousting and stage combat. After a while the itch became too much to ignore and he progressed to Full contact jousting with the New Riders of the Golden Age. Under Kelly Baily, he learned from the man who single handedly brought Real jousting to America. Kevin jousted for the New Riders for 6 years and then retired to Des Moines where he has now started a Stunt team that combines the flashy pomp and storylines of Theatre jousting with the physical brutality of full contact. JoustEvolution is born.
Growing up in North Carolina, Kevin was an avid martial artist and achieved great success. Later as a hockey player and coach he expanded further his love for active and even violent sports. Then comes jousting, a perfect fit.
The sense of activity and performing is an intoxicating mixture. Always the class clown, he now takes his sense of humor to new levels as the writer of many of the shows while with the New Riders and now with JoustEvolution.
The truth is, you never know what could happen next!
A gorilla? A Ninja? Bigfoot? Who knows?
